1. Who This Applies To
This Privacy Policy applies to all users of Wrench — the field service management platform available at app.getwrenchapp.com and getwrenchapp.com. By using Wrench, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
Questions? Contact us at [email protected].
2. What We Collect
We collect information you provide directly when you use Wrench:
- Account information — your name, business name, email address, and password when you sign up
- Business data — customers, jobs, quotes, invoices, inventory, and team members you add to the platform
- Payment information — billing details processed securely through our payment provider (we do not store raw card numbers)
- Communications — emails or messages you send to our support team
We also collect limited technical data automatically:
- Browser type and device information
- IP address and general location
- Pages visited and actions taken within the app (for debugging and improving the product)
- Cookies used to keep you logged in and remember your preferences
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Wrench platform
- Process your subscription and send billing receipts
- Send important account notifications (e.g. password resets, billing alerts)
- Respond to support requests
- Understand how the product is being used so we can improve it
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to third parties. Ever.
4. Your Customer Data
The customer records, job history, and business information you store in Wrench belong to you. We treat this data as confidential and access it only when necessary to provide support or resolve a technical issue — and only with your permission.
We do not analyze, mine, or share your customer data for any purpose other than running the service for you.
5. Third-Party Services
Wrench uses a small number of trusted third-party services to operate:
- Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure. Your data is stored on Supabase servers.
- Vercel — hosting and deployment of the web application.
- Twilio — SMS messaging, if you enable the SMS automation feature. Your customers' phone numbers are passed to Twilio only to send messages you've configured.
- Stripe — payment processing for subscription billing. We do not store your card details directly.
Each of these providers has their own privacy policy and data handling practices. We choose providers we trust and require them to keep your data secure.
6. Cookies
Wrench uses cookies to keep you logged in and maintain your session. We use a small number of essential cookies — without them, the app cannot function. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so will prevent you from logging into the app.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, we retain your data for 60 days in case you wish to reactivate, after which it is permanently deleted from our systems.
You can request immediate deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing [email protected].
8. Data Security
We take security seriously. Your data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS and stored securely using Supabase's infrastructure, which includes row-level security policies so users can only access their own business data.
No system is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at [email protected].
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction — update inaccurate information in your account settings at any time
- Deletion — request that we delete your account and all associated data
- Portability — request an export of your data in a readable format
- Opt-out — unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time
To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We'll respond within 5 business days.
10. Children's Privacy
Wrench is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify active subscribers by email. Continued use of Wrench after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
